UEA Weekend

I think we were one of only a few families that stayed in town for UEA. Because of Clay's very busy work schedule lately we decided to find things to do in Utah that were close to home and fun! Melinda (my sister) and I decided to meet at Thanksgiving Point on Thursday so that we could take the kids to the Scarecrow Festival. Once we got in the older kids took off and Mel and I got to spend the day with Luke, Olivia and Ryan, the three youngest.

This was the first thing the kids wanted to do...Jump!

After getting worn out jumping, they decided it was time to get thier faces painted

Luke got superman painted on his face while Olivia got rainbows

I found the older kids on this trampoline/bungee cord thing

This was by far the best part of the day. The kids loved to do flips and see how high they could jump!

The three younger kids thought the pirates were so cool!
Hanging out with more pirates

Once the older kids saw the younger kids face painting, they had to get one too.

Cody of course got a football helmet.
As we were walking by the pumkin patch we spotted Sean Bradly doing a interview with our local news.
He was so nice, he came over after his interview was over and posed with all the kids for a pictureAfter watching the older kids on the bungee/trampoline, the younger kids wanted a turn.

Since the line was so long to jump, I took Luke and Olivia over to the fishing booth to see what they could catch. Luke got a lizzard, that he named Jacob? I know weird!
As we were walking out I made Luke and Livy posed one last time together in front of this giant spider

The next day Clay took off work and we surprised the kids with a trip to Lagoon! So I know it's not the most exciting place to go, but hey, the kids liked it.

While we were waiting in line for one of the rollercoasters we had to get a treat!
This is luke on Wicked. It's by far the best ride at Lagoon. It was so nice to have all the kids big enough and brave enough to go on every since ride.

We asked the kids what they wanted for dinner and they told us carmel apples and sweet rolls. So why not! It's fun this time of year at Lagoon because they try to make it spooky for Halloween. I mean it's no Knott's scary farm, but it's still fun.

On Saturday we took the kids to the Sky Box at the Gateway mall in SLC. This is mine and Clay's favorite restaurant to take the kids too. We always request a seat in their stadium room. This is the coolest place if you want to watch the game and eat some really yummy food. It's all stadium seating, booths of course, and in the front of the room is this huge big screen tv. Of course we went right at kick off time when the Utes were playing Colorado St. But the best part about this place is they have a incrediable game room, far away from where you eat, so we gave each kid a $10 card and they took off to the game room while Clay and I enjoyed eating and watching the game! We call this place the "grown up version of Chuck-y-cheese".
If any of you are wondering where Jessica was this weekend, since she wasn't in any of the pictures, she was with Tyler and his family in So. Cal. They took off on Wed. and got back Sunday afternoon. We missed her terribly and the best part was she missed us as well. She came home and told us how miserable it was going on vacation with another family and she even said she would of rather spent the weekend at her Nana and Papa's house instead of going to California. (mom, I knew you would love to hear that)

So are they still together after such a miserable weekend? That is so funny. I never would have guessed her having such a bad time.

Thursday was fun and I am glad we got together. I forgot to tell you, it was a good thing we headed home when we did because we got caught is a HUGE traffic jam and it took us almost 2 hours to get home. If we had stayed we never would have gotten Blake home in time. It was a nightmare!

How funny, we were at the Gateway Saturday afternoon. We went to that Discovery museum. Isaac was a little upset he didn't get to spend time with Cody. We will have to get them together soon.
